Hydraulic separation is commonly used in modern heating systems to allow multiple circuits to operate independently while maintaining correct flow rates and system stability. In applications such as heat pump installations, underfloor heating systems, and multi-zone heating systems, hydraulic separation helps prevent interference between circuits and ensures reliable system performance.

Several components can be used to achieve hydraulic separation in heating systems, including brazed plate heat exchangers, low loss headers, buffer tanks, and pump groups. Each solution offers different benefits depending on the design of the heating system and the level of separation required between circuits.
