Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a mixing valve and a diverting valve?

A mixing valve combines flow from two inlets to provide one controlled outlet, while a diverting valve directs flow from one inlet to one of two outlets. The correct type depends on the required system function.

Can ESBE valves be fitted with an actuator?

Many ESBE valves can be paired with a compatible ESBE actuator for automatic operation. Compatibility should be checked against the specific valve model and control requirements.

How do I choose the correct ESBE valve?

Selection depends on the required mixing or diverting function, flow rate, Kvs value, connection size and system design. Our technical team can help identify the most suitable option from your system information.

What does Kvs mean?

Kvs indicates a valve’s flow capacity, expressed as the volume of water in cubic metres per hour that will pass through the valve at a pressure drop of 1 bar. Selecting an appropriate Kvs value helps support suitable flow and hydraulic performance.

ESBE valves are often used alongside heating pump groups for effective system control and distribution.
