Flushing the plate heat exchanger system for Viessmann Vitodens and Vitopend involves the use of a cleaning plate and seals. PWT Flushing System Procedure: 1. Follow the service instructions for the boiler to remove the plate heat exchanger. 2. Place the provided profile seals (A) into the cleaning plate (B). 3. Attach the plate heat exchanger (C) onto the cleaning plate (B) as shown in the illustration. 4. Connect the plate heat exchanger with the cleaning plate to the flushing device, taking note of the connection markings and flow direction. 5. Flush the plate heat exchanger with an appropriate cleaning agent against the normal flow direction for approximately 30 minutes. Depending on the type and amount of deposits, you may need to extend or repeat the rinsing process. 6. Thoroughly rinse the plate heat exchanger with water after cleaning. 7. Remove the plate heat exchanger (C) from the cleaning plate (B). 8. Apply grease to new profile seals (A) and insert them into the boiler. 9. Reinstall the plate heat exchanger and reassemble the boiler.
