Viessmann Electric filling station 30L/min - 7188625
Filling station for filling and commissioning solar systems, consisting of:
- self-priming impeller pump (30 litres/min)
- Dirt filter, suction side
- Hose, suction side (0.5m long)
- Connection hose (2 pieces, each 0.25m long)
- Transport box (can be used as a rinsing container)
Proper flushing and filling of a solar system during commissioning is an essential prerequisite for its trouble-free and efficient operation. The rinsing process removes foreign matter (scale, flux residue, chips) from the system that could otherwise impede the flow of the heat transfer medium or impair the function of individual components.
With the Viessmann filling station , a solar thermal system can be flushed and filled quickly and cleanly in one operation. The filling station has a powerful impeller pump that delivers up to 30 liters/minute and can generate a maximum operating pressure of 4 bar . Due to the high flow speed, air in the system is entrained during the flushing process and thus removed from the solar circuit. The associated container catches the heat transfer medium that flows out of the solar circuit when it is flushed, as well as foreign matter. A fine filter in front of the pump filters out all dirt particles so that they cannot get back into the solar circuit.
The flushing process does not replace the air separator in the flow line of the solar circuit, where the air escaping when the heat transfer medium is heated is separated. It is advisable to flush or fill the solar circuit when no sunlight is shining on the collectors or when the collectors are covered. This avoids the risk of the heat transfer medium suddenly evaporating.
Procedure for filling:
1. Open the shut-off valve on the Solar-Divicon and close the shut-off valve (a) on the filling fitting.
2. Connect the filling hose to the filling cock (b) and the drain hose to the drain cock (c) of the filling fitting.
3. Fill the filling station tank with heat transfer medium and hang the drain hose in the tank.
4. Open the filling tap (b) and drain tap (c).
5. Start the pump and flush the system with heat transfer medium until only medium emerges from the drain hose and no more air bubbles rise in the tank.
6. Close drain cock (c) and open shut-off cock (a).
7. Fill the system and check for leaks. The pressure must not drop for at least half an hour. When cold, the collector must have an overpressure of at least 1.0 bar. This results in a system pressure of 1.0 bar + 0.1 x static height + (0.3 to 0.5 bar) for the safety water seal in the expansion tank.
8. Close the filling tap (b) and remove the filling and drain hose from the filling fitting.
